A place to start
Wake Up Now is the front door to the BrainO network. It's where Colin keeps his memoir Written Off, the Songs of the States, the videos, the bookshop, and Out of the Box Advertising. It's also where you'll find the $1-a-month invite to the whole system.
If you're new to BrainO, this is a good place to get your bearings. Everything here is built around Colin's work and the idea that one account carries across all the sites in the family.
What you'll find
- Written Off — Colin's memoir, the story that started it all.
- Songs of the States — music that belongs to the places it comes from.
- Videos — watch, listen, and get a feel for what the network is about.
- Bookshop — a curated shelf of titles worth your time.
- Out of the Box Advertising — a different way to get the word out.
- The $1-a-month invite — your key to the whole BrainO system.
Who it suits
Wake Up Now is for anyone who likes their business with a human face. If you've ever felt like the odd one out, or you're looking for a network that values honesty over hype, you'll fit right in. It's for readers, listeners, watchers, and doers — people who want to support independent work and be part of something that's growing quietly but surely.
It's also for anyone who's curious about the BrainO network but doesn't know where to start. Think of this as the welcome mat.
How it fits the network
BrainO is a family of sites, each with its own flavour, but they all share one account. That means when you join Wake Up Now, you're not just getting one site — you're getting a passport to the whole network. And because everything runs on a dollar a month, with nothing auto-charged, you're never locked in. You pay as you go, and you can stop whenever you like.
Colin built this network on the idea that small contributions can add up to something big. Wake Up Now is where that idea takes shape — it's the front door, the shop window, and the kitchen table all at once.
Come on in
Whether you're here for the memoir, the music, the videos, or just to see what all the fuss is about, you're welcome. Have a look around. Stay a while. And if it feels right, that $1-a-month invite is waiting.
